OceanWork Leads Storytelling Effort for Coral Triangle Initiative

Tory Read and her intrepid team spent 10 weeks conducting interviews and observations in the Coral Triangle, a marine area in Southeast Asia and the Western Pacific that has the highest biodiversity of any seascape on the planet. Early in the trip, the team got lost at sea in Papua New Guinea in a driving rainstorm. An 18-foot dinghy, a leaky 35 hp engine and three able local seafarers were all that separated the team from certain doom. The group survived the storm, made it back to the mainland and went on to work with hundreds of other people across the Coral Triangle.
