Coastal Resource Issues in Papua New Guinea Awareness Campaign

Government of Papua New Guinea, Greenpeace International

The clients wanted to raise public awareness of coastal resource issues such as pollution and destructive fishing.  Build political will to recognize villagers’ right to participate in resource management decisions.

Document stories in coastal communities and hold a multi-stakeholder workshop to discuss issues and solutions. Produce and disseminate posters and storybooks to school children and a workshop report to national actors.

School children and families learned about coastal issues, and national actors were encouraged to follow through on commitments they made at the workshop.

Advice, research, storytelling, product design, production.
